The Application Case of the HTV Silicone Rubber

The Application Case of the HTV Silicone Rubber

LANCHEMIE HTV Silicone Rubber, with exceptional thermal stability, electrical insulation and mechanical durability, is widely deployed in high-reliability industrial scenarios worldwide.

In power transmission, it is the core material for high-voltage composite insulators, bushings and lightning arresters, maintaining stable dielectric performance under extreme weather and voltage fluctuations, delivering a 30+ year service life that far outperforms traditional ceramic alternatives.

For automotive and new energy sectors, it is molded into engine bay sealing gaskets, EV battery pack insulation components and high-voltage cable sheaths, withstanding long-term high-temperature conditions and mitigating thermal runaway risks.

It also excels in food-grade kitchen appliance parts, medical device components and industrial high-temperature conveyor rollers, thanks to its ultra-low compression set and chemical inertness, with full compliance with global regulatory standards.

The Production Process of the HTV Silicone Rubber

The Production Process of the HTV Silicone Rubber

The production of HTV (High Temperature Vulcanized) Silicone Rubber follows two tightly controlled core stages, with strict precision to guarantee consistent, high-performance output that meets global industrial standards.

First, high-molecular-weight silicone base gum is synthesized via anionic ring-opening polymerization of cyclic siloxane monomers, using alkali catalysts under high-temperature, inert atmosphere conditions. This process precisely tunes polymer chain length and molecular weight distribution, followed by continuous vacuum devolatilization to remove residual monomers and low-molecular-weight fractions, ensuring ultra-low VOC content and stable processing performance.
