PEG-10 Dimethicone is a versatile silicone emulsifier ideal for personal care and cosmetics:

Sun care & foundation: Forms stable water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions, delivers smooth spread, non-greasy finish, boosts SPF uniformity.
Moisturizers & serums: Enhances skin feel, improves active ingredient dispersion, increases product stability.
Liquid makeup & BB cream: Improves pigment wetting, prevents streaking, creates a natural, long-wear look.
Hair care: Adds softness, detangles, reduces frizz without weighing hair down.

Application: Add to oil phase at 1–5%, heat to 60–75°C, mix with water phase under moderate shear, homogenize for stable emulsion.

The Key Application Differences of PEG10 Dimethicone vs Cetyl PEG/PPG10/1 Dimethicone

PEG-10 Dimethicone: Lightweight, low-viscosity W/O emulsifier. Best for serums, sunscreens, light foundations, sprays. Delivers non-greasy, refreshing skin feel; good for water-rich formulas.
Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone: Stronger, higher emulsifying capacity with long-term stability. Ideal for heavy creams, concealers, high-pigment makeup, dry-skin moisturizers. Offers better pigment dispersion and richer texture.
