LC-6116 is a polyether modified organic silicon W/Q emulsifier with excellent W/Si and W/O emulsifying properties. It has good emulsifying properties for silicone oil and non silicone oil, and excellent dispersibility for powder materials. Combining laurel base, polyethylene glycol (PEG-9), and siloxane segments, it has emulsifying, conditioning, and softening functions. It can effectively reduce the surface tension, and is often used as an emulsifier and stabilizer in cosmetics to help form a stable lotion and improve the spread of products.

  • Skin care products: face cream, lotion, essence liquid, eye cream, hand cream, body milk, etc.

How to uses

  • The water phase is slowly added to the oil phase, and then the mixture is quickly stirred until uniform. Accelerated stirring can improve the stability of the lotion system. Thoroughly stir the oil and emulsifier before adding water for emulsification.

  • If all components are liquid, emulsification can be carried out at room temperature without homogenizer, and stable lotion can be obtained by rapid mixing.

  • Electrolyte, preferably 0.5-2% NaCl, should be added to the aqueous phase to achieve storage stability. Adding some antifreeze agents, such as propylene glycol and glycerol, can improve the antifreeze effect of the finished product. Increasing the proportion of water can increase the viscosity of the system.
