C30-45 Alkyl Methicone (and) C30-45 Olefin is produced via hydrosilylation & controlled fractionation:


  • C30-45 Olefin: Synthesized via ethylene oligomerization (Ziegler process) with triethylaluminum catalysts, then purified by distillation to isolate C30-45 linear α-olefins.

  • Hydrosilylation: React C30-45 olefins with hydromethylsiloxanes under Pt catalyst (80–120°C, inert N₂) to graft long alkyl chains onto silicone backbones.

  • Purification: Neutralize, filter, and devolatilize to remove residuals; blend to target melting point & viscosity.

  • Compound: Mix C30-45 Alkyl Methicone with C30-45 Olefin for balanced wax properties.High-purity, stable, low-VOC, REACH-compliant.
