The production of LANCHEMIE Hydrophobic Fumed Silica relies on a proprietary continuous two-stage closed-loop process, integrating high-purity flame hydrolysis with precision in-situ dry surface modification, to deliver uniform hydrophobicity, excellent dispersion stability and ultra-stable batch-to-batch consistency.


First, nano-scale amorphous hydrophilic fumed silica base is synthesized via controlled 1000–1200℃ flame hydrolysis of purified chlorosilane precursors, with precisely tunable specific surface area and stable three-dimensional chain-like structure, laying a uniform foundation for subsequent modification.


The core second stage is closed dry grafting modification: freshly prepared silica reacts with tailored silane coupling agents in an oxygen-free high-temperature reactor, achieving irreversible, full-coverage grafting of hydrophobic functional groups onto particle surfaces, eliminating common industry defects like uneven modification and residual free silane.


After multi-stage degassing, purification and precision classification, the finished product fully complies with REACH & RoHS standards, with near-zero batch deviation, ideal for diverse high-end industrial applications worldwide.
