Application of MQ Silicone Resin LC-2607

Water-based Defoamers

  • In water-based defoamers, LC-2607 is used in combination with other components such as surfactants and emulsifiers. It can quickly disperse in aqueous systems, reduce surface tension, and eliminate foam. Meanwhile, the excellent film-forming property of LC-2607 enables it to form a protective film on the liquid surface, preventing the reoccurrence of foam.

Oil-based Defoamers

  • In oil-based defoamers, LC-2607 can serve as one of the main components. Due to the low surface tension of oil-based systems, its effect is more distinct. It can rapidly spread to the liquid surface, destroy the stability of foam, and eliminate it.

Emulsion-type Defoamers

  • In emulsion-type defoamers, LC-2607 plays a role in stabilizing the emulsion and enhancing defoaming efficiency. It can interact with other components in the emulsion to form a stable system, and at the same time form a protective film on the liquid surface to prevent foam generation.
